It is not realistic to keep all cats whether kittens or retired cats and so you have to be quite grown up about your decisions so you do the right thing by the cats you do keep. However sometimes you just see a kitten that wows you and get talked into keeping them....That is what has happened here with some of these kittens like Arlo. Others I kept to carry on parents lines.
You also have to look at the cats you have and decide when to bring in fresh bloodlines. This year I will be retiring the majority of my original cats and the kittens I kept last year...Why??? Because some are getting on now and need to retire and others are not right in breeding for various reasons. So at the end of the year I will be hopefully bringing into my cattery 3 new import cats. 1 male from France and 2 females from Russia, They are all cats with traditional pedigrees and no colourpoint in lines. The new cats will help inject fresh new blood into my traditional breeding helping ensure diversity and health. I will be keeping a select few of my cats from this year.
So here are the kittens I have chose to keep this year so far......
