WARNING! Scammers on free advertising sites selling so called pedigree kittens for cheap, do not approach these people and go only to a registered breeder. I have also noticed people selling very young unvaccinated, unregistered kittens for cheap on these sites, again these type of kittens do not make great pets and are far to young to be rehomed, they most likely won't be purebred siberians either!

Information on my website 'adopting a kitten page' on why you should choose a reputable, registered breeder.

uk cat welfare bill

A private memebers bill has entered the house of Lords recently that is cause for concern to all breeders. Please read and if this also concerns you please write to your local mp. I feel that this bill will force many registered breeders to stop breeding. It is inappropriate for cats and implies we are a business. Most like myself are hobby breeders who do not make money, we simply breed from our pets in a home setting. This bill would force us to keep our cats in a commercial way probably outside and could cause potential harm to both our cats and our lines.Whilst back yard breeding and kitten farming needs to be stopped this bill will do nothing to stop those people but punish honest breeders and force dishonest ones under ground. Many industries and owners would suffer and finding a reputable breeder would be very difficult. Only big establishments and rescues would have cats available if this bill was law. You would not get the homebred kitten you would expect from a home based hobby breeder nor the support. I would like all cat lovers who appreciate good breeders to support us in trying to oppose this. The aim is to reduce the number of animals being bred and ending up abandoned, a good breeder like myself only breeds for demand and never sees one end up in rescue, The real problem is irresponsible owners not neutering their cats and profit breeders.  How is this bill going to stop these people?  write to your local mp please to view the bill  copy and paste this link
