WARNING! Scammers on free advertising sites selling so called pedigree kittens for cheap, do not approach these people and go only to a registered breeder. I have also noticed people selling very young unvaccinated, unregistered kittens for cheap on these sites, again these type of kittens do not make great pets and are far to young to be rehomed, they most likely won't be purebred siberians either!

Information on my website 'adopting a kitten page' on why you should choose a reputable, registered breeder.

Update on Ellie's babies - litter C, Available kitten

Update on the babies, most of them are now settled in their new homes and are doing well. They where all neutered before re homing and have healed well with no complications. One of our available kittens went to their new home today In Formby so we have just one baby left. We would like him to go to a quiet, pet home ideally indoors with access outside via an enclosed garden or enclosure. He is a quiet, sweet boy and very polite and gentle. He has been vaccinated, microchipped, registered, wormed, litter trained and socialised in a home environment. He will go with full kitten pack and 4 weeks free insurance. He is 13.5 weeks old and ready now. Here are some pictures of this cute boy ...

breeders and buyers beware!

I am posting this as I noticed an advert the other day on pets for homes advertising Siberian kittens from Championship lines for £180. I was very shocked to see my little girl Belle's picture also on this advert, not only this but they also had the cheek to almost copy one of my adverts word for word and claiming to be a vet nurse. They where located in Kent. I of course emailed them and got no reply, the advert has now been removed after me reporting it.

So breeders please keep an eye out on these free sites and always try and label your pictures with your prefix. I must admit recently I had not as it is very time consuming, but this person had clearly copied and pasted a previous pets at home picture as the quality was awful. This was the stolen picture....

So if any pet buyers have responded to this advert thinking they will get a kitten like this, you won't as this person did not breed her, in fact you may not get a kitten at all if they are scams. If you are looking for a full pedigree Siberian from a reputable Siberian breeder you will expect to pay around £500, anything drastically cheaper should ring alarm bells. Always check out the breeder and ask to see their registration papers and pedigrees of parents and kittens and visit home, see how the kittens are raised and ask lots of questions and most importantly never send money unless you are happy what you are getting is a healthy full pedigree kitten from a reputable breeder. Most breeders won't expect aything other than a small deposit to reserve the kitten and the remainder on collection after you have ofcourse visited your kitten. Generally scams and bad breeders will only advertise on these sites and won't have a website or be registered or a member of a breed club. Hope this helps when choosing your breeder!

Litter C 12 weeks

The babies are just over 12 weeks old now and how time has flown, they have had their second vaccines and will be neutered in a few days. Most will be going to their new homes at the weekend. The two available have had interest in them and we are assessing which homes will be best so are still taking enquiries for the moment so please feel free to express an interest. They are very sweet and all developing their own little characters some are very cheeky (Chernoi) others inquisitive (Chila) and some with the it wasn't me look (Chudin) the quietest two are Chadek and Cherenitsa who will follow the others but generally tend to stay out of trouble. These will be the last pictures of this litter and I will be sad to go back to an almost quiet house again but it has been fun and Ellie has been very good with her babies and has been sharing the mothering duties with Karlisa. It has worked well having these two litters mixing and these little ones have learned a lot from Karlisa and her babies about being confident as Ellie is alittle shy at times. I may mate these two girls around the same time again in the summer.

Look forward to seeing the new owners again at the weekend.

So here are the cuties...Enjoy!

Druzhina Chadek (available)

Druzhina Chila (reserved for Rachel)

Druzhina Chudin (reserved for Adrian and Faye)

Druzhina Cherenitsa (available)

Druzhina Chernoi (reserved for Jennie)

email trouble

I have been having some trouble with my hotmail account on website and so changed it to druzhinasibs@aol.com, it now seems I am not getting all the mail that is being sent via this account and I am also not sure if what I am sending is being received so I have decided to change it to my original mail account of
clareferris27@yahoo.co.uk. This was my first email account and has always been very reliable over the last few years.
If you have sent me mail regarding kittens in the last week and not had a reply please send again to my yahoo account. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Can any current kitten owners please also use this account and not my hotmail. Thanks

All Of Karlisa's babies are now rehomed

Well we saw the last two of Karlisa's kittens that where available for adoption go to their new homes this evening. Basha and Balemila have gone to live togther with a nice couple in Manchester. They should be home and settled now and not causing too much trouble I hope. Thankyou Paul and Viv for offering a lovely home to the babies, I hope they bring you many years of fun and happiness. Don't forget to send me lots of pictures and updates! I do ofcourse get the pleasure of Boris and Belle's company from this litter for some time to come as they are staying here as what I hope will be future breeding cats so I am happy about that. It is always a sad time when they go but I get great pleasure knowing they will bring enjoyment to someone elses life so all the hard work and commitment over the last three months is worth it. I must say this litter has been wonderful in both type and temperament and mum has been fantastic and so tolerant. It can't be nice having 14 week old kittens suckle from you ....yes thats right they still have the odd suckle now and again more as a comfort thing than anything but mum is just too nice to get up and walk away.

Ellie's babies have had their second vaccines today and I hope for them to be neutered on Wednesday next week. Three babies will then hopefully go at the weekend providing all goes well. Being males they don't have stitches and heal very quickly so a few days rest here should be enough before leaving unlike the girls who need atleast a week to heal properly. The remaining two babies are officially still available although I have had alot of interest this week in them from a few people. Some of these people have allergies and so it is not as straight forward with regards rehoming them as they need to pass the allergy sitting and unfortunately not everyone does. I would just like to point out that although they are believed to be 'Hypoallergenic' it does not mean eveyone will be ok with one, you must do an allergy sitting with your chosen breeder and kitten, parents if possible.

So depending on allergy results we may not have enough kittens for everyone but I am now taking reservations for my next two litters this year. I hope to mate Xena in the next month and then Dahlia between March and April (providing they call as my cats don't call in the winter normally). I will also be taking Mia to a very experienced, proven stud for one last mating, if she fails to get pregnant this time then she will be neutered and be available to a pet home in the summer. She will be three in July so it really is her last chance to have babies. So if you are wanting to adopt a beautiful Druzhina siberian this year please contact me early to go on my waiting list. Kittens are allocated on a first come first serve basis to approved, indoor pet homes only and all pets will be neutered before rehoming(no exceptions) so please don't ask to be able to breed from your kitten. I am only willing to sell breeding cats if they are of suitable quality to registered breeders who ideally have some experience in this field.

I hope to get one last lot of pictures of the babies at the weekend (litter C) before they leave for their new homes, they will be 12.5 weeks old then. It will be very strange just having two babies and alot quieter.

happy new year!!

I would just like to wish everyone a happy new year and hope this year brings lots of good fortune for everyone. I am looking forward to this year and the plans I have for my breeding. I have my first two home bred babies which will form part of my breeding later in the year and the hope of a nice male and female imports this year/early next which will give me the chance to improve on what I have here, so lots to look forward to. The cat pictured opposite is Belle one of the homebred babies from litter B this year, she is doing well and a total sweetheart. She will hopefully have her first litter in September. She is 14 weeks now and is a very hefty girl weighing over 2kg.

I would like to thank the breeding friends who have been supportive this year and most importantly the kittens owners for offering lovely homes to my babies as without them I would not be able to do what I do. For those people who have had kittens from me already please feel free to send me lots of update pictures and news of how they are getting on, I am always interested to know how they are doing.

Once again thank you and may 2011 be a prosperous year!
