WARNING! Scammers on free advertising sites selling so called pedigree kittens for cheap, do not approach these people and go only to a registered breeder. I have also noticed people selling very young unvaccinated, unregistered kittens for cheap on these sites, again these type of kittens do not make great pets and are far to young to be rehomed, they most likely won't be purebred siberians either!

Information on my website 'adopting a kitten page' on why you should choose a reputable, registered breeder.

Karlisa's babies- 1 week old!

It has been one week today since the babies were born and how quickly it has flown by. The babies are getting big and all have gained weight, nearly doubling their birth weights. I have come to notice a big shift in things and the girls are definitely the boss and get food first. The boy is now the smallest and seems to get pushed out by the girls at times, poor little man. He is nursing well so at this stage their is no need to supplement his feeding but I will keep an eye on this. Hopefully when he gets alittle older he will put the girls in their place.

The silver and white girl and a black smoke girl are now joint heaviest and are little chunks, the silver tabby girl is the next biggest kitten after being one of the smallest at birth so it is funny to see how things change. It will be interesting to see how they develop over the next few weeks and watch their characters develop. They are crawling now and although alittle wobbly are getting around the nest box, one even fell out after trying to follow mum the other night but managed to crawl back in, it is amazing how they can sense where their litter mates are even though their eyes are still shut. Their eyes should open in the next few days so by the time I take more pictures in a week they will have their eyes open and hopefully look more kitten like.

Well here are some joint and individual pictures....enjoy! Still haven't got any names yet hence why they are still referred to by their colour. I will need a chance to sit down and think of really nice names for this litter as I like the names to have a meaning behind them.

Black smoke boy: 180g

Silver mackerel tabby girl: 210g

Black smoke female (1): 190g

silver mackerel tabby with white female: 220g

Black smoke girl (2): 220g

Kittens available!

I am writing to let people know that unfortunately due to time wasters on my list there will definitely be kittens available from my second litter due in 3 weeks. Please contact me for information, there may even be the odd kitten left from this current litter depending on who stays on the list.

Please DO NOT ask to be placed on my waiting list if you are not serious about adopting a kitten from me and prepared to wait. Serious enquiries only from people who are devoted to the breed who will provide loving, permanent homes. If you are no longer able to stay on the list for whatever reason this is fine but please let me know, I am far too busy to be chasing people via email.

I currently do not charge to be placed on my waiting list but if I continue to be inundated by time wasters I will be forced to charge a non refundable fee to be placed on the list. It is very inconvenient for me but also unfair on others I have turned away because I had too many people waiting.

Karlisa's Babies finally here!

Well Karlisa finally delivered her babies this evening, two days late. It has been horrible and I have not had a very good sleep worrying. She has of course been fine and just decided it was not time yet. So 6.10 p.m she gave birth to her first kitten and was in labour for around 2 hours on and off. I originally thought she had 3 maybe 4 at a push....well I was wrong SHE HAD 5 BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY BABIES.All girls apart from one. She was very brave and did it all herself.

2x black smoke females 100g/120g
1x silver mackerel tabby female with cute white paws 120g (my favourite)
1x silver mackerel tabby female 110g
1x black smoke male 120g

I am fairly sure the black smokes are this and not silver tabbies as they are much darker and very similar to how Gus was at birth, who turned out to be a black smoke.

So once again all kittens with the silver gene even though the father was a black and white solid with no silver, so I think she may be a cat that always produces silver and has two copies of the gene. She has produced 7 kitten from 2 litters all with the silver gene.

Here are some pics for you all....sorry to everyone who has been emailing, I will answer your mail as soon as I can but right now I am off to bed after having been up since 5.30. Will get more pictures at a later date.

Thanks to everyone who has wished me well.

countdown to babies begins.....

Karlisa is now 8.5 weeks pregnant and I expect babies to be due this weekend. She is getting very heavy now and has gained over 1.5kg during her pregnancy. She is eating me out of house and home. Babies are very active now and I can often feel them having a kick around in her tummy as she sleeps, poor girl. I think she must be feeling quite uncomfortable carrying this weight round with her. She is looking well I think and has got a lovely ruff at the moment which makes her look very attractive. Ellie is also doing well and her babies will be due 3 weeks after Karlisa. Very exciting times ahead...can't wait for them to arrive. Here are some pictures of mum to be.

She looks like she has swallowed a football

Hope to get some pictures of Ellie soon without stressing her out too much and then of course I will be posting kitten pics when they are here for new owners.

PLEASE NOTE ALL KITTENS FROM KARLISA ARE NOW RESERVED FOR PET AND POTENTIAL BREED/SHOW, I WILL STILL TAKE ENQUIRIES BUT IT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY ANYTHING WILL BE AVAILABLE THIS YEAR AS I DON'T THINK SHE HAS A BIG LITTER.

I AM STILL TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR ELLIES KITTENS SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING A SIBERIAN KITTEN, DEPENDING ON NUMBERS THERE MAY ONLY BE A COUPLE OF KITTENS LEFT IF ANY FOR RESERVATION, MORE DETAILS WILL FOLLOW AFTER THE BIRTH SO PLEASE KEEP CHECKING BACK.

Happy Birthday Gus!

(Gus in new home at 12 months old)

This time last year Karlisa had her first litter and in that litter were two gorgeous babies, unfortunately we lost a gorgeous silver classic girl and were left with a very cheeky black smoke boy. He was a lovely boy and we had such fun whilst he was here. Ofcourse the time came for us to say goodbye and a new adventure to start with the kelly family. A year has passed so quickly and he has developed into a very chunky boy with great heft for his age. I cant believe we will soon be welcoming her second litter into the world (two weeks at the weekend).

So Happy Birthday Gus, hope your mummy has something special planned for you, hope to visit soon, Carol give him a big hug from me :-)
