Allergy testing available on request for a small fee

WARNING! Scammers on free advertising sites selling so called pedigree kittens for cheap, do not approach these people and go only to a registered breeder. I have also noticed people selling very young unvaccinated, unregistered kittens for cheap on these sites, again these type of kittens do not make great pets and are far to young to be rehomed, they most likely won't be purebred siberians either!

Information on my website 'adopting a kitten page' on why you should choose a reputable, registered breeder.

our first allergy sitting

We had our first allergy sitting today with a lovely couple from Manchester. He has mild cat allergies and so it is always nerve racking when someone with allergies wants a kitten as we can never tell how they will react. All seemed to go well and no immediate reactions were seen so I hope this continues over the next few days as I know they will be dissappointed if they cant have a siberian. This lucky couple will hopefully be the first owners of a gorgeous Druzhina baby this year. I have posted the pics of Max in the snow again especially for this couple as they were intrigued to see a cat on a lead. They also particularly loved Max who was their favourite out of our kitties. Hope to speak soon to you both with news of babies! Enjoy!

cover girl!

We had these pictures took of our beautiful Karlisa at the show at the weekend by Barry Newcombe. I think she looks very pretty and wild looking, the camera has really brought out her gold tarnishing. I dont think she enjoyed having them taken much as she is not one for the lime light!

One for all Tica cat show March 6th and 7th

We went to a two day tica show this weekend with Karlisa our girl and took Gus along for the ride. We had great fun and Gus was such a good boy and not nervous one bit and managed two full days...poor guy is worn out now. Unfortunately he did not get any finals and was placed either 2nd or 3rd bob in some rings. There was some tuff competition in the kitten section and one judge did say how hard it was picking a best siberian kitten as they were all so good. We think our boy is just abit too long in the body at the moment and needs to fill out. He has ofcourse been rehomed and so we wont be showing him again as this was a one off but I am sure when he is older he will be a lovely big chunky boy.

As for Karlisa well this was the cat we where hoping for finals from, all we really wanted was one all breed final for her Grand Champion title but she suprised me by getting 3 all breed finals over the weekend. She got 2x 10th best cat out of 50 from Carol Barton (USA) and 1x 3rd best cat out of 50 from Alexandra Chisholm (USA). We were really made up with this especially as the cat she was up against was a huge boy of good type. Most judges do seem to favour the bigger boys and so we were alittle disheartened by this having a girl. Even though our girl is a good size, she is obviously smaller than the boy she was up against but thankfully two of the judges could see past the size and look more at the type. We were told she was a very nice girl with good boning comparible with most male siberians and a really good head. One judge even went as far as too say she could not find any faults with her and had she been alittle bit more outgoing on the judging table she may have given her BOB both days.

If we have calculated all her points and finals correctly then she should have enough for triple Grand Champion after this show so we are very pleased with this after only 3 shows. Well done my beautiful girl I am so proud of you...here are some pics from the show.

Gus 6 months and all grown up!

Well here are some recent pics of our first baby looking all grown up. I cant believe he is 6 months old now and looking all handsome. I love this colour and would love a black smoke girl all of my own. Wanted to keep Gus but his new owner wanted him so much we could not let her down.(she had waited so long for her first siberian). Hope you like the new pics Carol and I am sure you will be home before you know it to be with him again. Gus sends lots of hugs and kisses and misses you spoiling him. Thanks Carol for entrusting him to me for the show!

Gus and Karlisa will be going to the tica show at Leigh this weekend. Both are bathed and groomed and ready to go. This is an exciting show for us as we will be taking Gus of our own breeding. This is the first time we have shown a home bred kitty so cant wait to hear the judges comments. I just hope he takes after his mum as she is so calm and relaxed at the shows.

Check back next week for an update and pictures from the show!

Karlisa has a ruff!

Took some pictures of Karlisa after her bath before show this weekend and she finally has a ruff after almost a year. She rubbed it all off with her first call this time last year and has took a while to come back, not much of a ruff compared to Max but atleast she is looking more like a siberian now.
