WARNING! Scammers on free advertising sites selling so called pedigree kittens for cheap, do not approach these people and go only to a registered breeder. I have also noticed people selling very young unvaccinated, unregistered kittens for cheap on these sites, again these type of kittens do not make great pets and are far to young to be rehomed, they most likely won't be purebred siberians either!

Information on my website 'adopting a kitten page' on why you should choose a reputable, registered breeder.

Karlisa's baba's ... 9weeks tomorrow

Well the babies are nine weeks tomorrow and how time has flown by. They are off to the vets tomorrow to have their first vaccines and it will be a long awaited chance to show them off to everyone I work with, as upto now all they have seen is pictures. Luckily I have the week of work so I can keep an eye on them as they can often be abit quiet after their first vaccine. They are all eating well and behaving exactly as kittens should be and I am glad to say that my little boris is nolonger the smallest. He has taken over Balemila who is now alittle lighter than him but Belle is still the biggest by far and you can feel the difference in her when you pick her up.

They are all good weights but she has a huge barrell shaped chest and the heft and boning is definately there from her mum and this is one of the main reasons I am keeping her. She is ofcourse a very pretty colour and her markings are very clear as you can tell from the picture of her standing on her hind legs, shes a big girl. Their weights range from approximately 1.2kg-1.4kg at the moment. This is on par with Gus from Karlisa's first litter last year (infact he was around 1.25kg at 9 weeks) so Belle is actually bigger than him. Last I heard he was 6kg at one year old and considering they carry on developing till 5 years, they should all grow up to be a fair size. Boris I feel does have a slightly better head than Belle but I think the heft for him will come with age. The fathers lines are slow to mature so it may take some time to see their full size. Boris is also alittle sweet heart and could not resist keeping him.

Sorry for the delay in pictures but it is hard work getting good shots of two litters every week so I may only put them on every two weeks now depending on how busy I am. So the next pics will be at 11 weeks of age most probably.

Enjoy!

  2. Thankyou Denise, always such nice comments about my babies... I really like them too, not perfect from a standard point of view but then what kitten is. I feel they will both bring good points to my breeding which the aim being in a few years an overall improvement in my cats type.

  4. thanks again Jackie, yes they are all sweet, she is alittle maddem though in a good way, she lets you know if she wants something and when she doesn't.lol Boy is a cheeky boy and alittle sweetheart. They are getting big and I did not notice until both litter where playing together the other night, 3 weeks difference but the size is unreal. They grow so fast! Also panicked when taking them to vet as could not fit them in the carrier.lol
