WARNING! Scammers on free advertising sites selling so called pedigree kittens for cheap, do not approach these people and go only to a registered breeder. I have also noticed people selling very young unvaccinated, unregistered kittens for cheap on these sites, again these type of kittens do not make great pets and are far to young to be rehomed, they most likely won't be purebred siberians either!

Information on my website 'adopting a kitten page' on why you should choose a reputable, registered breeder.

new software for our pics!

I got some new software for my pics that now enables me to label them before posting on my bog as I have heard there are some scam artists that are stealing pics. It also allows me to have a mess round with them and make the picture exposures better as my camera is not the best. Here are some pictures I have played with, some better than others....

We had confirmation from Tica yesterday on Karlisas title and she has been awarded the titles of Grand champion (GRC), Double Grand Champion (DGC) and Triple Grand Champion (TGC) making her a ....

We had estimated at show before last that she may have got this but obviously until it is officially awarded you can never be too sure so we are very pleased, we are over the moon and hope for the Quandrouple Grand Champion in the not too distant future. It has been a long road getting this far and obviously not the end for her just yet but feel she is nearly there and can soon retire from showing, although I am sure she will miss her days out, she has been a dream to show so far. Now being non isolated status with tica means in can take longer to get titles than in previous years due to the fact that alot more points and finals are required, but it is nice that we are now in our own region with more freedom to develop and progress.

One for all Tica cat show 11th March (Sunday only)

Well we took Karlisa out again to a show but this time for only one day as we were too busy to do both and it was a way to travel. We had a great day out and met up with some nice people. I would just like to say that there was a great turn out of siberians in all categories at this show and everyone of a very high standard and so it was a difficult show and I think every siberian got atleast one final over the weekend which was nice. The judges were very good and some did comment on how high the overall standard of cats were in this breed at the show, making their decisions very difficult indeed. This is great news for siberians when it comes to promoting the U.K siberian cats overseas and gives U.K breeders a very good reputation of producing quality cats with consistently good type.

I would like to say a big thankyou to Adrianna Kajon and Vickie Shields for there expert advice on the breed and my cat inparticular :-) I gained some valuable information at this show and some very nice comments and advice especially from Vickie. It was also nice to see so much emphasis on health as well as the standard of points. Being a natural breed it is important that these cats are able to function as a cat should and our girl was described as having excellent strength, power, conformation and type.

So you may be wondering how she did? well she did very well considering she was only there for the one day and gained the most BOB'S and finals out of the siberian entires in the entire cat section on this day. Here are her results:

3 x Best of breed siberian adult (out of 5 rings)
2x all breed finals
1 x 8th best allbreed cat (out of 36)
1x 10th best allbreed cat (out of 36)

A BIG! thankyou to Vickie Shields and Francine Hicks for Karlisas finals.

We were very pleased with these results especially for a female who has not yet reached full maturity at only 1 year nine months so well done my beautiful girl. Karlisa will be having a break from the shows soon to hopefully have some babies and so will be back out again later in the year with hopefully one of her daughters.

Once again well done to all the sibbies and their owners, they were all great cats. x

More pics of our baby girl...

I nearly forgot ...a BIG thankyou to Clare Willoughby of spooky paws singapuras for taking these lovely professional pictures for me as I forgot my camera and I must say they are so much better than the ones I have taken in the past. She has some amazing cats and they also have done very well at TICA shows check out her website: www.spookipawz.com
Absolutely gorgeous cats!

fun in the sun!

We had a lovely sunny day here in Merseyside and I was out in the run with my two handsome boys and got some lovely pictures of them playing together, it was great fun. Gus will be going back to his mummy next weekend so these will be the last pictures we have of him for a while. He is developing well and now 7 months old and has a great character and very cheeky.

No news as yet on kitten front and it seems Mia is doing her best to avoid having babies despite a second visit to stud, she has decided to go off call:-( Looks like our kitten plans may be changing and Karlisa who is more than keen to have more babies may be up next for motherhood. Sorry to all the people on my waiting list. I know it is a pain waiting but hopefully either way we should have some babies in the next couple of months. I will contact those on the top of the waitlist when I have more news :-)
